What are the Activities Performed by You in Ecotourism Field?
I work as community organizer and educate\or of the former whale hunters in the Philippines to participate in ecotourism as local guides for dolphin watching tours , boatmen and snorkeling guides in the corrals and turtle watching around the island.
The Benefit Contribution of the Activity to the World
We were able to provide livelihood opportunities for the former whale hunters thru ecotourism and help in the marine mammal conservation program. At the moment we have a regular sightings of Brydes Whale, Sperm Whales and the mighty blue whales who are known to travel worldwide plus the local population of the dolphins.

The dolphin and whale watching program of Pamilacan Island is a non consumptive utilization of the marine resources which provided alternative livelihood opportunities to the former whale hunters of Bohol. By bringing in the much need visitors and guest to island I was able to help in providing food on table for more than 200 families that has been deprived of the economic opportunities when the government prohibited the trade and commerce of marine mammals in the Philippines.
